Pregnancy is the start of an amazing journey. It’s a time filled with love and anticipation, that should be celebrated and captured so these fleeing moments can be remembered.
Maternity sessions are best taken at around 30-34 weeks before you get too uncomfortable. You have a choice of either in my Lugarno studio session or outdoor location at sunset whether at the beach or bushland setting. There are plenty of beautiful locations around Sydney (I do have my favourites!).
Studio session experience is more posed in nature where I would use both studio and natural lighting. Outdoor sessions are gently guided with a more candid feel, allowing for natural connection and movement.
Each creates a completely different feel - it all comes down to the style you love the most, and how your imagine your story being captured.
Your partner and children are most welcome to be included in the session. I also have a small range of gorgeous maternity dresses available for your session! (optional)

FAQ
When is the best time to book for Maternity photos?
I recommend booking your maternity session at the beginning of your second trimester to secure your most ideal date. Maternity photos are best taken when you are between 30-34 weeks as this is the most ideal and comfortable time for photos within your pregnancy. It also allows for any wet weather reschedules and ample time before your delivery.
What should I bring to my maternity photography session?
Please bring:
1. your nude underwear and strapless bra (If you would like to include any white lace or other options, please feel free to)
2.. Slip on shoes for yourself
3. If you have chosen one (or more) of my garments for your session, I will bring them to the location, otherwise please come dressed and ready.
4. Partner and children must be dressed and ready.
5. Bring other special items /accessories you'd like to include in the photos ie: hat, baby scan photos
What shall I wear for the sessions?
I do offer a small beautiful selection of garments that is available to you to wear (optional). You can view some of these on my Maternity Dress blog here. Our maternity dresses are made with expecting mothers in mind and are made to fit all bellies of all shapes and sizes. You are welcome to come in and try on any of these garments before your photography session to ensure they fit perfectly. Of course you can welcome to bring your own outfits for your session.
Where do the maternity photography sessions take place?
We have multiple options for maternity locations for you to select from depending on your ideal feel and style. There is my favourite location in Kurnell ,for a more beachy feel to your session. A great location with tall wispy grass is near Olympic Park, a great spot during golden hour. If you prefer the serenity of bushland there are lots of beautiful locations around Sydney that I can suggest.
Can my husband/partner and siblings be included in the newborn session as well?
Yes absolutely! I highly recommend getting your family to be apart of this special moment, capturing this beautiful pregnancy together. Guided information can be provided on what your family can wear during your session that would beautifully complement your chosen garments.
Do you offer a studio session option for a maternity session?
Yes! My studio maternity session are held in my home studio in Lugarno. I offer a mixture of both studio and natural lighting, with light and white backdrops (also have black or brown). Studio session are more posed in nature, and I will guide you with posing every step of the way (I got you!)).
Do you offer maternity and newborn photography packages?
Absolutely! The popular Bump to Baby Love Collection combines both maternity and newborn sessions. This package allows you to document your entire unforgettable journey and saves you money compared to booking separately.
How long does it take before I get my photos from my session?
It is normally 2 weeks from the date you choose your images from the on-line gallery. I will notify you via email when your gallery is ready for viewing. You have 5 days to view and choose your images before the gallery expires.
